Awards

  •
In 1966, the QCESC established the awards for Engineer of the Year and more recently added the awards for Scientist of the Year and for Lifetime Achievement (2007). The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute and recognize Engineering and Science Professionals whose exceptional achievements and outstanding contributions have made a lasting impact on technology, society, and their profession. This includes helping to promote and raise the awareness of Engineering and Science in our local communities including in our schools.

In 2000, an award was added for the Society of the Year to recognize a society for it’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of engineering and science in our community.

The most recent award recipients were announced at the 46th Annual National Engineers Week Banquet held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Putnam Museum in Davenport, Iowa.
